Undoubtedly, one of the best ways to enjoy free time in freedom during the summer months, with many hours of sunshine and the possibility of having vacation days, is to travel by motorhome. Although the popular campers offer greater driving agility and many possibilities in a compact space, they will never be able to compete in interior space and comfort level with motorhomes.
Within this last segment, there are alternatives for all tastes, with a wide variety of technology and equipment to satisfy even the most demanding users. One of these proposals is the Van Ti Plus, developed by the German firm specialist in Knaus camperizaciones. Taking a Volkswagen Crafter as a base, a complete motorhome profiled by the sea of interest is achieved.
Starting with its dimensions, we must bear in mind that we are dealing with a vehicle that is 6.99 meters long, 2.43 m wide (including mirrors) and 3.01 m high. Let us remember that, considering that its maximum authorized mass is below 3,500 kg, it can be driven with the conventional car B permit.
The version that you can see in the photographs is powered by a 177 HP 2.0 TDI engine and is included, under the name of Cozy Cottage, within the Roadsurfer company's rental range both in its various Spanish offices and in numerous European countries.
The first thing we find when entering the interior of the motorhome, which is designed for a maximum of three occupants, is a living room that also serves as a dining room thanks to its extendable table. It should be noted that the driver's and passenger's seats are swivel, so they can be oriented towards said living room.
Opposite this area is the kitchen, which is equipped with a large 142-litre fridge with freezer, a sink, a two-burner gas cooker and numerous storage spaces such as cupboards and drawers. Continuing towards the back, on the opposite side of the kitchen is the sink.
This area is one of the greatest advantages of the vehicle. And it is that, in a space used in an excellent way, it includes a toilet, a sink and a shower with hot water, as well as space to place cleaning products and utensils. A mobile wall separates the toilet and sink part from the shower area, making the most of every centimeter.
Already at the rear end of the motorhome we find the rest area. It is a spacious bedroom with two comfortable fixed single beds that can be joined together with a custom-made central mattress. In this way, a huge area is obtained where two adults and a child can sleep without cramping. The presence of storage areas is really generous in this part of the cabin.
Numerous cabinets and shelves make it easy to store and organize luggage as well as bedding, towels, etc. And continuing with the storage, the garage located in the lower rear part, which is accessed from the outside, should not be overlooked.
In this area, you can store countless items, such as a couple of bicycles, inflatable kayaks and, of course, folding tables and chairs to enjoy meals outdoors in authorized camping areas, where you can also use the included awning.
Among the equipment of the Knaus Van Ti Plus (called Cozy Cottage by Roadsurfer) designed to achieve maximum comfort for its occupants, heating and air conditioning must be included, systems that can work with the vehicle stationary.
In case we want to leave the multiple windows open and be calm regarding the presence of insects inside, it should be remembered that all of them have a sliding shutter-style mosquito net that is very easy to use.
