The Mossos d'Esquadra of the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of Barcelona are investigating the violent death of a man in the Ciutat Vella district.
The events occurred last Wednesday, May 1, before midnight, when agents of the Urban Police were alerted to an attack that occurred in the Barceloneta neighborhood.
When the members of the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) moved to the scene, they found the man lying on the ground. The victim was taken in serious condition to a hospital, where he died during the early hours of the morning.
For their part, sources close to the investigation have indicated that the victim is a young person, and that there were several witnesses who gave the notice, after 11:00 p.m., which caused him to initially arrive at the scene, in the Plaza del Mar, the Urban Guard.
Currently, the DIC of Barcelona has taken charge of the investigation, without anyone being arrested at the moment.
