The Aemet confirms a radical change for the weekend: up to 30 degrees in these areas

From the intermittent rains and a cold environment for the season we will move on to a more stable and warm scenario, with up to 30 degrees on the weekend. That is the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which confirms a radical change in the weather in the final stretch of this week.

Starting in the next few days, the anticyclone will take hold from the south of the peninsula, although some fronts will still manage to reach the northern half of the country, while temperatures will begin to rise this Thursday to record maximums between 25-30 degrees in the weekend. Extremadura, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalusia, Region of Murcia, Valencian Community and even in the Ebro valley.

This Thursday the rains will be limited to the north of the country and the northeast of Catalonia, without ruling out showers in Castilla y León, while in the rest of the country the weather will be more stable, according to the agency. In addition, significant accumulations of snow are expected in the Pyrenees.

Maximum temperatures will decrease in the Balearic Islands and in the north of Catalonia, increasing in the rest, more markedly in the interior of the northeast and southeastern regions, where Valencia will reach 25 degrees, in the center of the peninsula, capitals such as Madrid and Toledo will be They will remain at 16 and 18 degrees respectively.

The minimums will decrease in the southern half of the peninsula and areas of the north and northeast, remaining with few changes in the rest. According to Aemet, weak frosts are still expected in mountain areas, more intense in the Pyrenees.

For Friday, the rains will be concentrated in the northern quadrant. A front will penetrate the northwest of the peninsula, leaving rainfall in Galicia, weak at first and more intense in the afternoon, when it is expected to spread to other regions of the northwest of the peninsula and the Cantabrian environment.

From that day on, maximum temperatures will increase throughout the country, although less markedly in the north, Mediterranean coasts and the Canary Islands, and minimum temperatures will also increase, although generally slightly, and more markedly in Andalusia and in the north and northwest of the peninsula.

The thermometers will read between 23 and 26 degrees in Zaragoza, Valencia, Seville, Murcia, Málaga, Castellón, Cáceres and Badajoz, among other capitals.

For the weekend, the agency speaks of a normalization of temperatures, which may even be warm in the east, with maximums that in the eastern third could be between 5 and 10 degrees above normal. They will generally exceed 20-25 in areas of the east and south of the territory. In several parts of Valencia, Murcia and Andalusia they will exceed 30 degrees.
