TecnoCampus receives the visit of 2,500 people in its Open Day for the new academic year

The Mataró TecnoCampus held its Open Day for future undergraduate students last weekend. The event ended with the visit of approximately 2,500 people including possible enrollees, family members and professionals from the center.

All the participants were able to visit the facilities and attend the 31 sessions scheduled to present both the degrees that were going to be carried out during the 2023-2024 academic year and administrative issues (academic procedures, university services, scholarships and study financing).

During the open day, two new academic degrees were presented, which will reinforce the range of degrees that can be taken at TecnoCampus: the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and the double degree in Tourism and Leisure Management with Marketing and Digital Communities.

The scheduled sessions were concentrated in three of the six buildings that make up the Mataró technology park complex. In the TCM2, the degrees related to the field of audiovisuals, video games and companies were presented. Meanwhile, in the TCM6 the conferences related to the field of health took place, giving special relevance to the new degree in nutrition, for which a classroom has been built that combines kitchen and laboratory.

And, thirdly, the auditorium of the Congress Center and the Foyer Room. These spaces welcomed students interested in degrees in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration and Innovation Management. All of them were explained in these spaces due to the large number of attendees who requested to attend to learn about how these studies worked at TecnoCampus.

The future university students and their companions had the guidance of the teaching staff, the administration and services staff and some thirty students who devoted their weekend to carrying out various tasks such as the accreditation process, guided tours of the facilities, providing support to the teachers and explain their experiences.

In addition to the new grades, this year's open day has presented two novelties. On the one hand, the ThinkIn 3D space, enabled for guided tours of the Industrial Engineering degree and, where the Formula Student project is carried out, a program in which students of various degrees build a car to participate in a university competition.

On the other hand, Atenea Living has been presented, a new student residence that had its space in which families interested in accommodation were advised on aspects such as registration date, prices or location.

Finally, TecnoCampus will also offer guided tours of its facilities every Wednesday afternoon in May and June. In this way, the Mataró technology park will be accessible to all those who want to visit it before the start of the university pre-registration for the month of June and, for various reasons, could not do so last Saturday, April 22.
