Hyundai updates the small i10 to bet heavily on the urban car segment

Focused on a powerful electrification process for its range of cars, Hyundai does not forget about customers who want an affordable, practical and urban vehicle. Present on the market since 2007 and now in its third generation, the i10 brings together these virtues, to which it adds a strong endowment of security and connectivity equipment.

This popular small car adopts several improvements to improve its positioning. In terms of exterior design, the front displays a more modern image thanks to the new LED daytime running lights in the Essence and Klass finishes. They are integrated into a new grille that retains the exterior shape and updates its interior pattern. In addition to refreshing the design, this grille improves cooling and frontal aerodynamics.

The rear optics have a new design in the N Line finish, combining LED technology with conventional light bulbs to achieve a shape that evokes the "H" of Hyundai. The offer of the new i10 includes two new colors, called Lit Gray and Meta Blue. The changes are completed with new and attractive wheels, 16 inches in the N Line finish and 15 inches in the Klass.

The Hyundai i10 debuts inside a digital instrument panel, with a 4.2-inch central color screen. It also incorporates a USB type C charger, which complements the traditional USB type A for data reading on the front. There is also a USB Type-C charger located at the back of the center console, intended for rear passengers.

To satisfy the most demanding with equipment, Hyundai has redesigned the upholstery of the N Line finish, now offering a more current and sporty look. As a novelty, this finish also has LED-type interior ambient light. The upholstery of the Klass and N Line finishes are also new.

Safety is one of the strengths of the Hyundai i10. It offers a complete package of technologies, including a collision risk detection system with other vehicles, pedestrians or cyclists, a hill start system and lane keeping assistant. It also has state-of-the-art eCall.

Another of the attractions of the smaller Hyundai is its offer of engines and transmissions. The range is based on a 66 CV 1.0 MPI naturally aspirated engine, ideal for those seeking maximum efficiency. The 85 hp 1.2 MPI engine is in the middle and lovers of sporty sensations can enjoy the supercharged 1.0 Turbo TGDI engine, which develops a power of 100 hp (0-100 km/h in 10.5 seconds).

The new Hyundai i10 is available in three trim levels, called Essence, Klass and N Line and all incorporate the new digital instrument cluster. The Klass finish adds elements such as a rear parking camera and 15-inch alloy wheels. In the N Line model, the wheels grow to 16 inches and the 100 CV versions have automatic climate control and rear disc brakes.
