Consum is looking for more than 3,000 ESO graduates for the summer campaign

Consum Supermarkets offers more than 3,000 jobs to reinforce its workforce during the summer campaign and holiday replacements for the coming months. The job offers, which are already available on the Cooperative's website, are fundamentally to cover operational tasks in its more than 480 supermarkets, logistics centers and headquarters.

The hiring season runs from the beginning of April to the end of September. After this period of time, the Cooperative explains that the hired personnel can have continuity based on performance. In fact, according to data from the Cooperative, 42% of the staff hired in the summer season of 2023 continue to work with a permanent contract currently at Consum.

Pioneer in the application of the 5-day work week in the distribution sector, the Cooperative offers full and partial days, with an access remuneration of more than 1,300 gross euros per month, subject to increase depending on the position. Once the hired person becomes a partner, this base increases to 1,500 euros gross.

In addition to the salary, the partners receive annually the cooperative return that corresponds to them from the results, in addition to the interest for their mandatory contributions to the social capital. The requirements of the candidates are: having an ESO degree, customer orientation, desire to learn, attitude towards teamwork and residence close to where the position is offered. The company clarifies that previous experience is not necessary, since the company will provide training to the staff.

Consum has generated more than 1,900 jobs in the last year, 10% more than the previous year, reaching a workforce of more than 21,200 people. In the last 10 years the Cooperative has doubled its workforce, creating nearly 10,000 positions in the autonomous communities in which it is present.
