Service restored on R3, R4 and R7 of Rodalies after a person was run over

Renfe's Rodalies lines R3, R4 and R7 have restored their service after it was interrupted shortly before five in the afternoon due to a person being run over in the Torre Baró tunnel in Barcelona.

As reported by Civil Protection, the affected train has been stopped at the entrance to the tunnel and the pre-alert phase of the Ferrocat emergency plan has been activated.

Adif, for its part, has specified that traffic was cut off between Montcada Bifurcació and Fabra i Puig due to the accident of a person at an unauthorized crossing point.

Renfe has reported, for its part, that an alternative road service was established on the affected section.

This same afternoon, a technical incident in the infrastructure that has already been resolved has forced to cut the circulation of Rodalies between Sants Estació and Castelldefels, which has affected the R2, R2 Nord, and R2 Sud lines, as well as other regional lines.

According to Adif sources, there was an incident in the electrification system between the Bellvitge and Castelldefels stations at around 1:15 p.m., which the infrastructure operator's technicians were able to solve at around 3:20 p.m.

Renfe sources have indicated that the incident has forced them to initially cut all the lines on the section between Barcelona and Castelldefels, although most of them have been able to recover operation at 1:50 p.m.

The only section that has been affected until 3:25 p.m. has been the one that connects El Prat with the Airport, on the R2 Nord, which is currently accumulating delays of approximately 20 minutes.

While the incident has lasted, Renfe has recommended that users who had to travel to Barcelona Airport do so by metro.
