Spain will play a friendly against Brazil on March 26 at the Santiago Bernabéu

The friendly between Spain and Brazil already has a date and time. The match will be played on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the Santiago Bernabéu starting at 9:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time) and will serve to combat racism and violence in football. The same skin is the motto that frames the confrontation.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Brazilian Confederation (CBF) announced on June 5 an agreement to hold the match in question between the two world champion teams. However, until today it did not have a date marked on the calendar.

Thus, the first concentration of Luis de la Fuente's team this year will take place within the framework of this international commitment. The match next March will be the tenth meeting between Spain and the 'canarinha'.

The last meeting between both teams was in the final of the Confederations Cup in 2013. A clash that was decided in favor of the Brazilians, thanks to a double from forward Fred and a goal from Neymar (3-0). 'La Roja' has achieved two wins and two draws in the nine previous duels against the South Americans with eight goals for and 14 against.

The former president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales, led the campaign last May, 'Racists, out of football', after the episodes that affected Vinícius in the Valencia-Real Madrid match held at Mestalla.

Now, the governing body of football in Spain summons its team in May to play an exhibition match against Brazil with the aim of "reinforcing the commitment against violence and racism in football."

Also to "intensify good relations" between both national entities, as explained in the statement issued this Monday by the RFEF.
