Solar and de sol o de sòl?

Last winter we wanted to install solar panels at home. After weighing three options, we opted for the offer that seemed best to us. We made all the relevant arrangements and paid a first charge of 892 euros on 2/XII/2022. At the beginning of the year, a technician installed a cable with a metaphysical name on our roof - a "lifeline" - to guarantee the safety of the operators who had to fix the plates, but when a few days later they climbed in, the installers said the structure wasn't strong enough to hold the plates, and they said goodbye the French way, with no explanation.

The very next day we received an email announcing the first receipt of the financing. We still managed to talk to someone from the company to stop that charge and we decided to postpone the operation until we had an estimate of how much it would cost to reinforce the roof to ensure that the plates could be attached. We ordered two and at the end of March we realized, to our dismay, that the cheapest budget would eat up all the energy savings that, in the best case scenario, we could obtain in the next ten years. So we grudgingly canceled the contracted installation and assumed that the first payment would soon be returned to us. Ha!

We have since made a few calls to a 900 number to claim a refund. In general, the customer service voices are friendly, check the file and always say that you will already receive an email that never arrives. Sometimes the call hangs up and you are left talking alone. Lately, it's been cut a lot.

Now that it's been a year since they hit us, I've consulted the Catalan Consumer Agency and I have to say that I'm extremely excited to start preparing, alongside the letter to the Kings, a certified letter with notice of reception that I will address to you, soaked in the Christmas spirit, to announce the complaint. We used to complain about the old electric ones, but the new ones are not far behind. Every time I see the commercials that invite us to take advantage of the sun, I think that solar should not come from the sun but from the soil, from the desolate wasteland that occupies its real desire to serve the public.
