Melamed and Puado give a blow of authority

Five games have been enough for Espanyol to have submitted their candidacy for promotion to the First Division. After a draw, four wins. The last one, a thrashing yesterday in one of those fields where winning means much more than three points. They solved Nico Melamed, a player for whom this category is small and who scored two goals, and Puado, who scored two more goals but missed another much clearer one.

Levante succumbed to the offensive excesses of the parakeet team, unleashed in Ciutat de Valencia when it needed it. In addition to producing many more dangerous actions, Luis García's men took a step forward in the tactical field to handcuff their opponent for many minutes to the point of overturning him. Edu Expósito entered the eleven for Keidi Bare and the team improved in general, but especially in transitions.

Not even 40 seconds had passed when Puado wasted the clearest opportunity of the match. Jofre made a good cross, but the striker did not manage to finish in the mouth of the goal. This scare helped to make the pressure of the parakeets very effective at the beginning. And with each recovery came more and more danger. Before the quarter-hour mark, Melamed scored his first goal in the category with a dry shot from the front.

Espanyol felt superior both with and without the ball. Levante did not intimidate Pacheco and the chances kept coming. Joan Femenías, local goalkeeper, avoided the second in a double chance from Melamed and Expósito. But it was Levante who found the reward on their first and only occasion past the half-hour mark. Bouildini finished off a cross from Andrés García with his chest, which Ramón Ramos broke from the right. The Brazilian full-back again neglected his wing as it already happened in his debut.

The goal spurred Espanyol on, who soon took the lead again. Before half-time, Puado finished a ball through the box from the second post after a touch from Jofre with his head. Effectiveness appeared again at the right time.

After the restart, Levant tried to be the protagonist, but it was Melamed who scored in a counterattack (57). The youngster left alone from his own field and from inside the area kicked with power at the short post. In the final minutes, the Portuguese Vezo was sent off and shortly afterwards the fourth arrived, the work of Puado after a counterattack led by Milla.

This important result is a clear message for the rest of the teams. This Spaniard, who is already provisional leader, wants to be considered the most serious aspirant to the promotion of the Hypermotion League.
