Ayuso announces a new call for rental aid: 9 million for young people

The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, announced yesterday a call for rental aid, especially aimed at young people, with a provision of 9 million euros, and has attributed the rise in housing prices to the " "liberticidal policies" of the left.

Ayuso made this announcement during the control session held in the Madrid Assembly, where the leader of Más Madrid, Mónica García, had asked the president about her Government's management of rental aid for young people.

"The youth bonus has been a government botch that was formulated in a royal decree to regulate it that was full of inaccuracies and yet we are paying it (...) We have attended to almost all of the applicants," said the Madrid president .

Díaz Ayuso announced that the Executive is going to call for new aid of 9 million euros, with which there will be an allocation for young people, and has stated that the price of housing is growing in "all of Spain."

He pointed to the "liberticidal" measures, such as those of the Madrid and Barcelona City Council - during the governments of Manuela Carmena and Ada Colau -, such as those that have raised the price of housing because the owners "feel insecure", which "it shoots up prices and sinks supply."

For her part, the opposition leader has stated that "Spain is broken by its neighborhoods, by its houses and by its damned speculative market" and has reproached the PP for promoting "uncontrolled tourism" that expels citizens from the neighborhoods.

Subsequently, the regional Executive expanded what this new rental aid will consist of, which will be direct and the amount will be 50% of the monthly rent or price that the beneficiary must pay for the rental or use of their habitual and permanent home or room.

In the case of also being a beneficiary of the Young Rental Bonus, the amount of aid will be up to 40% of the difference between the monthly rent or price that the beneficiary must pay for the rental or transfer of their habitual residence or room and permanent and the amount of 250 euros per month corresponding to the Young Rental Bonus.

In any case, the sum of the aid from the Young Rental Bonus and the rental aid or transfer regulated in the Assistance Program for young people may not exceed 75% of the amount of the rent or price of the home or room.

The beneficiaries are natural persons of legal age up to 35 years of age who own or are able to sign a rental contract whose income is equal to or less than 600 euros per month (except in 29 municipalities of the Community, where it can reach up to 900 euros). ).

Also co-living units whose tenants are under 35 years old at the time of application, including age 35 years. The remaining members of the unit must also be under 35 years of age.
