Abascal calls on the police to rebel against "illegal orders"

The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, took another step yesterday in his support for the mobilizations against the amnesty and the Government of Pedro Sánchez calling on the police to rebel against "illegal orders", with reference to the police charges and the release of tear gas that took place on Monday night to disperse the gatherings near the headquarters of the PSOE in Madrid, on Carrer Ferraz. Despite the fact that the police intervened with a shovel, three wooden clubs, an iron bar and three extendable bars and arrested three individuals, Abascal condemned the actions of the delegate of the Spanish Government in Madrid, Francisco Martín, and the Minister of Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, for having ordered the "disproportionate" action of the police officers.

"Power and privileges for the criminals in exchange for a little more time in the chair and batons and gas for the citizens who only demand that the law be the same for everyone", summarized Abascal in a hyperbolic way in a press conference, after a meeting he held at the party's headquarters with the regional vice-presidents in the communities of Castile and Leon, Murcia, Aragon and the Valencian Community, with whom he planned yesterday the training strategy for the eventual agreement between the PSOE and its allies for the investiture.

The leader of Vox also opined that Sánchez, who with the amnesty "intends to get criminals out of prison to gain access to power, is not far from starting to send innocent people to prison to stay in that same power".

The far-right leader defended the protest as "legal and peaceful" and referred to what police unions such as Jupol and the Federal Police Union said, which called for the dismissal of the central government delegate in Madrid.

In addition, Abascal reiterated his support for all mobilizations of "peaceful resistance" against the "coup d'état" of Sánchez, whom he called a "tyrant's apprentice", and asked the demonstrators not to "fall into no provocation, no denial of the professional reason-seekers".

The organization Revolta, convening the rallies in front of the headquarters of the Socialist Party in the main cities, is linked to Vox and, in fact, leaders of the party and the Denaes foundation have acted as its promoters by spreading the word on their social networks the calls and messages of this platform.

Abascal, although far from the point where the riots took place, took part in the demonstration called on Monday near the headquarters of the PSOE on Carrer Ferraz in Madrid.
