The forceful response of a single woman from 'First Dates' to her date: ''I don't like being paid anything''

After the long-awaited premiere of its seventh season last Monday, First Dates has ended the week with new dates between single men and women, who have decided to go to the most romantic program on television to live a unique experience in the inexplicable search for love.

One of the great events of the night was the one starring Álex and Miriam. The 23-year-old Catalan bachelor arrived at the restaurant confessing his love for him. One of his great passions was the gym and that is why he was looking for a girl with whom he could share a similar lifestyle.

His date was going to be Miriam, a 23-year-old Catalan single who defined herself as 'choni'. ''I'm an educated girl looking for an educated dog,'' she declared. ''Maybe that's the problem why I can't find a partner, because they aren't usually good guys,'' she added. The first impression between the two was not very good, neither of them resembled the other's tastes. ''I didn't like it physically,'' commented the single woman. ''I'm used to girls like me, who take better care of themselves,'' he said.

But once the date got underway, the connection began to emerge. Both Álex and Miriam were speechless when they realized that they were both from the same city, had the same age and studied at the same university.

Another point they had in common was the party. The two claimed to be very party-goers, but Álex clarified that he was not as much as before, due to his work and his lifestyle. ''I like boys with aspirations, who have goals in life and he has them,'' the single woman confessed.

Regarding relationships, Miriam claimed to have had no luck in love, which is why she had never had a stable partner. ''The one who treats me the worst is always the one I like the most (...) That's why I have been looking for another prototype of a boy,'' she asserted. Furthermore, the single woman commented that with 'not having a partner' there was always a lot of social pressure. Something the bachelor agreed with.

''It doesn't seem strange to me that Miriam hasn't had a partner, because I've only had one and it was a coincidence. She is very stigmatized because now they are getting younger and younger, it's like if she doesn't have a partner she's hiding something, I don't think that's the case,' declared the single man.

In the final stretch of the date, Miriam confessed to having had experiences with girls as well, which is why she considered herself bisexual. Álex, for her part, was not closed to trying a boy either. When it came to paying the bill, Miriam was very clear. ''Half. "I don't like being paid anything," she said. A decision that the bachelor applauded. Despite the bad first impression, the singles had connected and were therefore willing to give themselves a second chance.
