RTVE appoints Ana María Bordás as the new head of the Spanish delegation at Eurovision

The Spanish delegation at Eurovision has a new head. As the media have revealed, the Corporation has decided to dismiss Eva Mora to make way for the director of originals for RTVE Ana María Bordás, who was already in charge of this task between 2017 and 2021.

Bordás will become the new head of the Spanish delegation at the Eurovision Song Contest, as well as the next edition of the Benidorm Fest, which she will co-direct with César Vallejo, deputy director of RTVE Play premieres.

This decision has surprised the public, since Eva Mora marked a new stage for our country in the musical contest: the journalist achieved the best position in Spain in the last 27 years when Chanel Terrero reached third place in 2022 with her hit 'SloMo '.

As it has been revealed, the Benidorm Fest will have three musical advisers in its next edition: Pablo Cebrián, musician, composer and music producer, David Martínez (Rayden), singer and participant in Benidorm Fest 2022, and Tony Sánchez-Ohlsson, producer and composer closely linked to Eurovision.

The contest will have a committee of ten experts related to RTVE, Eurovision and the music industry, who will be in charge of evaluating the proposals that arrive from May 16 to October 10.

Once the proposals have been reviewed, the team will select 16 aspiring candidates to win the Bronze Microphone of the Benidorm Fest 2024, as well as a place to represent Spain in the 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest to be held next year in Sweden.
