They used social networks to show the marijuana they intended to sell and then, after contacting potential customers, they made shipments through parcel companies to points in northern Spain and even to other European countries, such as Portugal or Germany.
Now, after several months of investigation, the National Police has dismantled the gang that operated from the province of Granada and has made six arrests.
In one of the four searches carried out (two of them in Granada and the other two in municipalities in the belt) a 'daycare' was discovered in which marijuana was packaged for later shipping, reports the National Police.
The agents have seized 115 kilos of marijuana buds, 148 plants of the same species, a short firearm, numerous armored ammunition, nearly 35,000 euros in cash, several luxury watches - two of them valued at more than 23,000 euros. , a high-end, large-displacement vehicle valued at more than 100,000 euros and various material related to the activity investigated.
The investigation began last December, when agents detected the existence of a criminal organization allegedly dedicated to national and international marijuana trafficking.
The first investigations revealed that those investigated were sending drugs to northern Spain, as well as to different parts of Europe such as Germany, France, Portugal and Italy.
The investigation also found that sales were made by publishing advertisements on social networks, through which they showed the merchandise they had available.
The organization (investigated by agents from Granada and Línea de la Concepción, in Cádiz), controlled the entire process of obtaining, preparing and subsequently selling and distributing large quantities of marijuana through legal parcel agencies.
Furthermore, each of its members (four men and two women) had a pre-established role within the group: While some dedicated themselves to preparing the substance, others transported it to the transport agencies to send it to different destinations (national and international). .
There were also those in charge of providing vehicles, always high-end, and those who carried out surveillance work. The criminal activity, which generated an important source of income for all its members, allowed them to boast a high standard of living, which has allowed investigators to follow their trail and identify them.
The operation has ended with the arrest of the six people investigated, four men and two women of Spanish nationality.
