This Tuesday, the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested at least six people between Figueres and Vilamalla (Alt Empordà) in an operation against a group specialized in violent robberies in houses posing as police officers.
According to sources close to the case, the gang was especially dedicated to entering houses where there were drugs, pretending that they were agents. Apart from the substances, the detainees also took other objects.
In total, the Mossos have carried out seven searches at homes in Figueres and Vilamalla, one of them on Tarragona street in Figueres. On this street the police have also confiscated a car belonging to those arrested. The owner has been transferred to the Figueres police station, to which the rest of the detainees were also transferred.
In the device, which began early in the morning, members of the General Criminal Investigation Commission (DIC), the Figueres Investigation Unit, the ARRO, the canine department and citizen security participated. The investigation is joint between the DIC of Gerona and the Figueres Research Unit.
