'Clanes': Netflix presents its 'love in times of narcos' with Clara Lago and Tamar Novas

You are a lawyer. You decide to start from scratch and settle in a quiet town on the Galician coast. An attractive local man flirts with you. He seduces you. And, when it's too late, you find out the truth: he is the son of a major drug trafficker. This is the starting point of Netflix's Clanes, this love in times of narcos with Clara Lago (Eight Basque surnames) and Tamar Novas (Goya for revelation actor for Mar Adentro) as protagonists.

The trailer, for the record, gives a glimpse of where the shots will go: it is not so much a melodrama but a sparkling thriller about the dynamic that is established between Ana, Lago's lawyer, and Daniel, the visible head of the Padín clan that he plays. You do not go.

“You informed yourself and decided that I am to blame for everything bad that happens here,” he reproaches her in the trailer. “And you're not?” she asks with a storm of images that seem to confirm that she is.

Clanes, which premieres on Netflix on June 21, also features who are you), Diego Anido (As Bestas) and María Pujalte (The Mysteries of Laura) with Jorge Guerricaechevarría and Daniel Calparsoro as creators.

Guerricaechevarría, who has two Goya awards for his work as a screenwriter on Celda 211 and Las leys de la Frontera, signs Clanes after having created or participated in series such as 30 Coins, Hasta el cielo: La serie or Desaparecidos.

Roger Gual (Smoking Room) is the director, after having worked on Netflix series such as The Disorder You Leave, The Cable Girls and Elite.
