K-pop star Nahee dies at 24

Singer and songwriter Nahee has tragically passed away at the age of 24. According to local South Korean media, the artist died on November 8, although the causes of her death have not been revealed.

Nahee - real name Kim Nahee - was very loved and known in her native country, being highly respected in the Korean pop music or K-pop industry. The artist made her debut in 2019 with her single Blue City, which placed her at the top of the charts.

The artist's career rose unstoppably after her success, thanks to songs like Still Remaining, Glooming Day, You Are So Happy!, Sleepless Song, H! or City Drive. Just four months ago, Nahee dedicated a song to her fans, Rose, which has become her latest song and in which she expressed her love for her dedicated fans.

From what has been learned, the funeral, attended by the singer's family, was held in the strictest privacy on November 10 in Pyeongtaek, about half an hour from the center of Seoul.

A lover of music since she was just a child, she soon felt a passion for musical instruments; especially for the piano and guitar. After the success of Blue City, her fans multiplied, and she shared a multitude of videos in which she covered songs by other artists or presented her unreleased songs.

The singer published her last video on social networks last August, and nothing suggested her fatal fate. The artist also celebrated her birthday on October 27, which she celebrated with her followers with an image of her showing her cake on her Instagram.

Nahee joins the number of artists who say goodbye tragically in the world of pop music in South Korea, being the fourth to die in 2023 alone and joining Moonbin (ASTRO), Choi Sung Bong (Korea's Got Talent, KGT ) and Kim A-ra. A very worrying matter, since the deaths of these young artists multiply, joining names like Sulli, Goo Hara, Jonghyun (SHInee) and Woo Hye Mi (KGT).
