Juan Ortega's WhatsApp message to Carmen Otte about her interview at COPE

He is already known as the "bullfighter on the run", and it is no wonder, because after Juan Ortega stood up his fiancée, the cardiologist Carmen Otte, minutes before their wedding was to take place before almost half a thousand guests ; nothing else has been talked about.

A month and a half later, the right-hander broke his silence. He did it with Carlos Herrera in Herrera in COPE, regretting having raised so much fuss, but ensuring that he maintained a very good relationship with his ex-partner. What's more, it is now also known that the bullfighter sent him a message prior to his interview to let him know that he was going to talk about what happened.

The right-hander was full of praise for his ex-partner. "We had a very good relationship, we had a series of doubts that I was not able to resolve. I accept it and ask for forgiveness," he insisted, also talking about his in-laws, to whom he dedicated words of affection.

Ortega notified his ex-fiancée that the interview was going to take place. According to El Español, the bullfighter wanted Carmen Otte to be aware, and that is why he sent her a WhatsApp message to notify her of his intention to talk about his private life.

According to the aforementioned newspaper, the cardiologist would not have heard her ex-fiancé's interview live, as she was busy with her work at the hospital. Knowing in advance that Ortega was in the radio space, she also refrained from answering phone calls.

"He has not even given an opinion on the subject," say sources consulted by the aforementioned newspaper, despite the fact that dozens of headlines have reached him. However, her ex-fiancé's words of affection and respect will not make her watch the interview or react publicly on the subject.

"I can only speak well of Carmen. She is an extraordinary woman, who has made me grow as a person and a bullfighter," he said.

"The only truth about what has happened is that Carmen and I are two people who love each other very much," Ortega said in his interview. The right-hander acknowledged that he understood the "fuss" that had formed, but he did not imagine that such a commotion would arise. "Since the news broke, many things have been said that most of them are not true," he insisted.

"I understand the damage you can cause. The pain, I would have made the decision a few hours earlier and it would have been the same," he explained. "It's still a breakup between two people who love each other." Even so, he acknowledges being the only one responsible for this whole matter. "I took it knowing the consequences it had."

The bullfighter also revealed what his current relationship with his ex-fiancee was like. Despite the circumstances, he assures her that she is good. "Contrary to what people can imagine, the truth is that we continue to have a lot of love and respect for each other and we both have a lot of peace. In the end it has been something for which we have fought a lot."
