Carmen Otte reacts to bullfighter Juan Ortega's interview at 'COPE'

The interview with Juan Ortega in 'Herrera en Cope' has generated a strong impact, revealing until now unknown details about the cancellation of his wedding with the cardiologist Carmen Otte, in Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, on December 2. Through the journalist Leticia Requejo, the bullfighter's ex-fiancée has spoken out. As she revealed on the Telecinco program TardeAR, Otte does not feel affected by Ortega's comments and she considers that "she is of no use to him."

Requejo revealed that Otte has been aware of the interview, but has not changed his perspective on the situation. She has decided to keep her distance and she does not want to know anything about him at this time when she is still trying to get over the cancellation of the wedding, and she has rejected the bullfighter's attempts at communication through third parties.

"Public apologies are very good, being elegant and not entering into certain areas, but it is not worth it," said the journalist. Furthermore, she added, the cardiologist alleged that Ortega's public apology has no impact on her current position, and she has declined any attempt at reconciliation.

The journalist explained in the program that Otte has resumed her routine after the difficult weeks after the cancellation of the wedding and has returned to her job at a hospital in Seville.

In the interview at COPE, Juan Ortega praised Carmen Otte, describing her as an "extraordinary woman" who made him grow as a person and bullfighter. "Carmen and I are two people who love each other very much, we had a very good relationship, but I had a series of doubts that I was not able to resolve," said the bullfighter.

"I can only speak well of Carmen, she is an extraordinary woman, 10 years old, she has made me grow as a person, as a bullfighter, she and her family have always supported me. They have treated me like a son," said Ortega.
