Arús's firm opinion on the danger of children on networks: "Parents are also responsible for the challenges of TikTok"

Having someone slap you hard, taking some type of chemical product to see what happens, pressing hard on some part of the body to cause injuries... Every week, new challenges appear on social networks that millions of users try to overcome.

Users who, in an increasing percentage, are minors. Social networks like TikTok claim that they are trying to put filters in place to prevent children from accessing these types of dangerous acts. A topic that has opened a whole debate in Aruser @ s, where Alfonso Arús has shared his firm opinion on the matter: parents are also responsible.

"I see it 50%. TikTok could save the spread of some viral challenges, but parents could also be more attentive when allowing access to their children," said the presenter. However, he wanted to draw attention to a fact: this type of situation has always been experienced.

"This has always happened, another thing is that networks did not exist. There were things when we were young that were a danger," he insists, giving as an example and joking with his partner, Dr. Marc Redondo, when he "threw firecrackers into mailboxes." , being a child.

"It wasn't a question of social networks," added Angie Cárdenas, "it went from one school to another and everyone found out. In the end, everyone ended up doing that."

The rest of the collaborators were in complete agreement: it did not matter whether the children had mobile devices or not, the challenges were going to come the same. "There should be some filters," they commented, "Just like Instagram censors your breast, there should be something that controls these challenges."

Arús then took the opportunity to insist on the importance of parental responsibility in this task.

Above all, taking into account that the "human component" of control in the different social networks is not enough. "These people complain that sometimes they have to consume such strong content that they are psychologically affected. There was a workers' strike because they do not receive psychological support. These are people who all day long see extremely harsh images of suicides and super beast viral challenges."

"That's why I say: the percentage is distributed," Arús insisted.
