The most romantic restaurant on the small screen closed its doors for another week. On Friday night, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed a new batch of diners, who showed up to First Dates with the goal of meeting someone interesting. But going to the Cuatro program does not guarantee finding love. Something that Jesús and Mari Carmen experienced in the first person.
The 57-year-old bachelor came to the restaurant wanting to meet someone like him, after having spent almost his entire life with his wife. ''I am asexual, but not because of me, but because of the aunts, who ignore me. I don't know... but I've always had the woman I've wanted,' he said. Regarding what that traveling companion had to be like, the bachelor left Laura Boado in shock. ''As long as she's breathing, I don't care,'' she said.
But before the single woman entered, Jesús confessed to Matías Roure that he had come to the program with a Viagra pill. ''Don't tell me,'' the waiter told him. Her date was going to be Mari Carmen, a 57-year-old single woman, who claimed that she had not felt valued by the men she had been with.
The first impression among the singles was normal. ''He reminds me of the protagonist of Manolo and Benito with that white t-shirt,'' declared the single woman. ''When I see a person it has to shock me,'' said the bachelor. After learning about her places of residence, the presenter accompanied the couple to her table, where the evening began.
Once seated, the couple began the date talking about their previous marriages. Furthermore, both discovered that they had something important in common: animals. The singles confessed to being great cat lovers and Jesús claimed that one of his felines was called ''wifi''. A confession that left the single woman speechless.
At one point during the evening, the bachelor said that he had been a hotelier all his life. But in 2014 he suffered a terrible stroke that forced him to stop working. Despite certain similarities, the singles could not fit in romantically. A situation that became more evident in the final stretch of the evening, where they did not agree on their sexual tastes.
Jesus confessed that his favorite sexual position was ''the starfish''. Something that didn't please the single woman very much. ''I have seen him old in the sexual aspect,'' she said.
