This speed duel between a Tesla Cybertruck and a Porsche 911 has an unexpected ending

After several years of delay, Tesla has begun making the first deliveries of its Cybertruck electric pick-up. As is usual for the brand, it has done so in a great special event that, obviously, has had the active participation of its CEO, Elon Musk, who took the opportunity to show in video format some of the virtues of this model, such as its level of ballistic protection, its towing capacity and its high performance.

The tycoon also shared these recordings on his X account (formerly Twitter). Of all of them, there was one that went viral much more than the others. In fact, in just 17 hours since its publication, it already had almost 54 million views. The piece in question corresponds to a speed duel between a copy of the Cybertruck and a Porsche 911 sports car.

But the funny thing about the piece is that it has an unexpected ending, not so much because the pick-up crosses the finish line first but because it does so while towing a Porsche 911. This fact puts greater value on the vehicle's performance because it beats the German model. racing with ballast. The Tesla manages to complete the quarter mile (about 400 meters) in less than 11 seconds and accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour (about 96 km/h) in just 2.6 seconds.

The towing capacity is one of the strong points that Musk wants to highlight about his car; After all, pickup trucks are designed for professional use. To demonstrate this strong point of the car, Tesla has also prepared a video in which it compares itself with its most direct rivals.

Thus, it carries out a heavy machinery towing test with the electric Ford F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T, as well as with the Ford F-350 Diesel. Of all of them, the Cybertruck was the one that could travel the most meters towing such a heavy package; specifically 318 feet (about 96 meters). The combustion engine model followed, with 263 feet (about 80 meters); the Rivia, with 257 (about 78 meters); and, in last place, the electric Ford, with 207 feet (about 63 meters).
