Elon Musk finally delivers the first Tesla Cybertruck and shows that they are bulletproof

Four years after presenting the Cybertruck, Elon Musk has finally seen his desire to put the first units of his electric pickup on the road. At an event held at the Tesla assembly plant in Austin (USA), the CEO of the North American company on Thursday delivered several examples of a vehicle that stands out for its futuristic design and being made bulletproof.

Musk stated that the Cybertruck's body, made entirely of stainless steel, is bulletproof and its glass can withstand the impact of a rock. On this occasion, the founder of Tesla presented a video - which you can see below - to test the resistance of this pickup. The video shows how the vehicle withstands shots from a sniper with his rifle, thus highlighting the robustness and safety of the Cybertruck in extreme situations.

In this way, Musk avoided a repeat of the embarrassing incident that occurred in 2019, at the presentation of the truck, when the windows of the Cybertruck shattered after being hit by an object. So the business magnate of South African origin had no choice but to try to minimize the incident using irony: “Well, it's not bad, there is room for improvement.”

Musk highlighted that despite the delay in the launch of the Cybertruck - its market launch was scheduled for 2019 -, "we have here a car that experts said was impossible and that they said would never be manufactured." “It is the best product we have, unique on the road,” added the founder of Tesla, highlighting both the design of the pickup and its features. The company talks about a vehicle “that will have more utility than a traditional van and more performance than a sports car.”

During the delivery of the first units of its pickup, Tesla revealed the prices of the Cybertruck, which are much higher than those that Musk announced in 2019. The basic version will have an initial price of $60,900, the intermediate one with four-wheel drive wheel will cost $79,900 and the Tri-Motor version called Cyberbeast will sell from $99,900.

These amounts far exceed those announced in 2019, which ranged from $39,990 for the most affordable version to 69,990 euros for the most complete.

If something stands out about the Cybertruck after the first impression, it is its striking design and its imposing dimensions. With a length of 5.88 m, a width of 2.03 m and a height of 1.91 m, the vehicle presents a unique presence on the market. One of its most notable features is the space for rear cargo, with a capacity of 2,831 liters.

In addition to its size, the pickup exhibits notable power that allows it to offer a towing capacity that varies between 3,400 kg and 6,350 kg. This versatility positions it as a robust and capable option for various applications, from heavy cargo transportation to off-road adventure.

The cargo area at the rear of the vehicle offers flexibility to the user, as it can be carried open for easy access or closed securely, similar to a hood.

All three versions of the Cybertruck offer future owners a variety of options depending on their range and performance needs. Autonomies range between 400, 480 and 800 kilometers and each version increases the number of engines, with one, two or three units, respectively, all of them maintaining a 100% electric propulsion system.

The most basic version credits acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and the most powerful, with three motors, achieves the same speed in approximately 3 seconds. The dual version does it in 4.5 seconds.

Despite Tesla's reluctance to reveal details about the interior design of the Cybertruck's cabin during the delivery of the first units, recently, a video shared by a user on their social networks has shed light on some elements present in the pick-up. up.

A large infotainment screen and the peculiar shape of the steering wheel, which is presented in a rectangular configuration, stand out noticeably. In addition, the arrangement of two rows of seats is clearly observed, each with capacity for three people.
