Towns in the south of Madrid demand improvements in commuter trains from the Ministry of Transport

The Pinto City Council, governed by the PSOE, joins the complaints about the problems that its citizens suffer day in and day out on commuter trains. Other towns such as Valdemoro, with a Ciudadanos mayor, have also already presented their claims.

Pinto, a municipality located to the south of Madrid, has urged the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda to hold a meeting with the mayors of municipalities where the C3 Cercanías line serves to find a solution to the multiple "incidents" and "serious problems" logged by this plot.

In an institutional declaration, which has been signed "unanimously by the corporation's political groups" and which will be taken to the next ordinary plenary session, it is agreed to urge "full compliance on a daily basis, and especially at rush hour, of the Cercanías service hours on its lines C3 and C3a".

As the mayor of Valdemoro, Sergio Parra (Cs), did a few days ago, from Pinto, governed by the PSOE, they insist that to the "frequent" problems in this C3 line, those derived from the works that have started at the Chamartín station and have forced the closure of the Sol tunnel.

In the text, the central Executive is also urged to convene, "urgently", a meeting with all the mayors and political representations of the affected localities, to "express discomfort over the continuing problems suffered by lines C3 and C3a". .

In this sense, they have already requested information from both the Ministry and the Adif and Renfe companies on the state of execution and forecasts of the existing plans on the C3 Madrid-Aranjuez line and "the alternative measures that are going to be implemented to alleviate this situation".

In addition, the City Council will also require the Ministry of Transport to explain in a public document and officially, the reason why "the line is no longer doubled", due to the construction works of the new La Tenería station.

In the institutional declaration, all the parties also commit to the creation of a working group "to expose, propose and promote actions that make visible the decline of the commuter service on its lines C3 and C3a", even with other affected municipalities, with in order to demand an optimum and immediate solution from the Ministry of Transport".

Finally, the text includes the transfer of the institutional declaration to all the parliamentary groups with representation in the Congress of Deputies and the Assembly of Madrid, as well as to the Ministry of Transport, Adif and Renfe.
