The space between Villarroel and Floridablanca is configured as a new single platform square, completely pacified and free of vehicles, which will join the Pes de la Palla square, where a new children's play area will be installed.
As for public transport, an exclusive bus lane is planned going down from Villarroel to Comte d'Urgell, which solves and eliminates the passage of the bus in the opposite direction that currently exists on Comte d'Urgell street. The bus lane will be located next to the loading and unloading cordon, which will finally be located on the side of the Ciutat Vella district in accordance with the request of merchants in the area.
Regarding bicycles, they will be able to circulate throughout the area, maintaining the priority of passage for pedestrians.
The intervention in this section also foresees more greenery. Drainage spaces are increased to facilitate the growth of existing trees and 46 new ones are added, so that there will be a total of 150 trees.
Finally, the reform project includes the connection of the green axis of Tamarit Street and the renovation of Dubte Square.
The works will be executed in accordance with the approved and awarded project. In total, a space of more than 1,000 square meters will be intervened, which is added to the 15,262 square meters already pacified between the Ronda and Tamarit Street.
Mandri street and Bonanova promenade
The action consists of covering the well at the Mandri station of the L9 metro and the surface redevelopment of part of the temporary occupation area.
Currently, the service cordon on the Besòs side, the two lanes in the mountain direction and one of the lanes in the sea direction of Mandri Street are closed to traffic. On the Bonanova promenade, the two lanes on the mountain side in the direction of Llobregat and the two lanes on the sea side in the direction of Besòs are affected by the works.
It is expected that the action will affect public roads for two days. On Saturday, January 30, the sidewalk on the Llobregat side of Mandri Street will be occupied, so that the road will have a single traffic lane in each direction, and on Sunday, January 31, the sidewalk on the sea side of the promenade will be occupied. of Bonanova, leaving the road with one traffic lane in the Llobregat direction and two traffic lanes in the Besòs direction.
The impact of the current service line on Mandri Street will also lead to the cancellation of the blue zone and motorcycle parking spaces and the transfer of bus stop 2343 that affects the TMB bus lines V13 and N8, which will be It will move to the seaside sidewalk of Paseo de la Bonanova between the streets of Mandri and Sant Delfí.
The transfer of the two stops that are on both sides of the Bonanova promenade and that affect TMB bus lines 70, 123, H4, V11 and N8 is planned. These will be moved to the section of Paseo de la Bonanova between Ganduxer and Horaci streets.
