The image reminds me of this phrase from the Italian-Argentine poet Antonio Porchia (1885 - 1968), author of Voices: "If I didn't believe that the Sun looked at me a little, I wouldn't look at it."
And the sun has not only been seen this winter, but also admired, shining and giving us warmth in the months when in theory it should be cold, much colder than it has been.
