The ex-delegate of the Government in Catalonia and number two on the list of the PSC for Barcelona, ​​Maria Eugènia Gay, has received a Jewish tribute at a lunch held at the Círculo Ecuestre de Barcelona.

At the event, Gay was accompanied by his successor in the Government delegation in Catalonia, Carles Prieto; the vice president of the entity, Enrique Lacalle; the president of the club, Antonio Delgado; the General Inspector of the Army, Lieutenant General Manuel Busquier; the Superior Police Chief of Catalonia, Luis Fernando Pascual; the third deputy mayor of Barcelona, ​​Laia Bonet; the member of the Círculo Ecuestre José María Cardellach; her father, the lawyer Eugeni Gay; the head of the Civil Guard in Catalonia, General José Luis Tobar; and Carles Tuquets, also a member of the Círculo Ecuestre.

Born in Barcelona in 1975, Maria Eugènia Gay has been a Government delegate in Catalonia for just over a year, specifically between January 2022, when she took over from Teresa Cunillera, and March 2023.

For five years she was also dean of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB) and it was announced on February 28 that she would be number two in Jaume Collboni's candidacy for Barcelona in the upcoming municipal elections.
