The anger of a driver from Rodalies to the users who cross the tracks in Montcada and Reixac

Just two weeks ago, four young people were fatally run over by a train in Montmeló (Vallès Oriental) when they crossed the tracks on an unauthorized section. This Wednesday, a driver of a Rodalies train reprimanded the travelers in his convoy when some of them crossed the tracks in front of the train. "A little respect for the deaths," he snapped over the public address system.

In a video recorded by a user, who was traveling inside the train, it is observed how the driver of the Rodalies R2 line in Montcada i Reixac (Vallès Occidental) scolds and reminds the passengers of the recklessness of the four fatalities. in Montmeló through the public address system. “We continue crossing the level crossing. “Four teenagers died two weeks ago, a little respect.”

The driver even sounded the train horn up to eight times to warn of recklessness in crossing in front of the convoy.

“It seems to me a lack of education and respect for the people who work every day,” the driver shouted. “Now they are delaying the entire R2 line, they are aware that we cannot be constantly delayed. What should be done? "Should I stop the train? Should I call the police? A little respect for the deaths."

“Is it so difficult to wait two minutes for the train to pass?” reasons the train driver, given the impatience of the users at the end of the message, which has gone viral on social networks.

The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda has awarded the works for the undergrounding of the Rodalies R2 line as it passes through Montcada i Reixac and the construction of a new station in this municipality for approximately 540 million euros.

This work includes the construction of a four-kilometer tunnel through which the R2 line tracks will pass, which, in turn, will add a third track to expand the system's capacity and resilience.

In addition to the integration of the railway in this municipality, the Ministry has awarded, through Adif, the remodeling works of the Montcada Bifurcació station for 30.2 million euros.
