La Pedrera and Casa Batlló are filled with roses for Sant Jordi

For another year for Sant Jordi, Barcelona will be filled with roses and books through its most emblematic streets. In this sense, the Batlló house will return to its characteristic attire while in La Pedrera sports and roses have been the protagonists today. This Friday at Casa Milà the florists presented the creative process of different signature roses, especially one as a tribute to the America's Cup, which will be held in Barcelona this summer. It is a rose made with an authentic piece of candle by the florist Mercè Pasanau of Pasanau Flors.

The Catalan florists' union estimates that only 25% of this sale corresponds to the professional florists' union. Consequently, florists are asking for greater regulation of rose stalls and are betting on their own creations with signature roses, providing a characteristic artisanal value and a specific message.

For its part, the Batlló house once again dresses up for Sant Jordi's Day with a façade covered in roses, a symbol of tradition. The legend of Sant Jordi, reflected in the structure and inside the building, captures the identity of the Catalan capital.

This year, Casa Batlló offers the possibility of taking a rose from the iconic façade. The limited edition of 100 numbered units will be available from April 21 to 23.
