A fire declared this afternoon near the tracks between the Montmeló and Granollers Center stations has forced the suspension of the commuter service on the R-2N line between approximately 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and affects rail traffic, with delays of half an hour compared to the usual hours, as reported by Rodalies Catalunya through its communication channels.
The fire has caused Civil Protection to put the Ferrocat plan on pre-alert and the service has been interrupted while the Generalitat Fire Department intervened to put out the flames. The service has been reestablished immediately afterwards, although with the effects indicated. The incidence also affects, although to a lesser extent, lines R2, R8 and R11.
The Firefighters have mobilized four crews to the affected area to deal with the fire, and have communicated around 7:30 p.m. to those responsible for the infrastructure that circulation could now be restored, as explained by the emergency department.
