"No one, like him, combined such a high sensitivity of the car with an almost inhuman courage" with these words Enzo Ferrari was referring to his countryman, the driver Tazio Giorgio, Nuvolari. Nicknamed "the flying Mantuan" for his legendary recklessness, the driver Car driver and motorcyclist who managed throughout a brilliant career to establish himself as one of the great Formula 1 drivers, died in Mantua on August 11, 1953 at the age of 61.

In 1920 he had started his sports career on motorcycles.

Three years later, in 1923, he ran in the Penya Rhin de voiturettes Prize at the Vilafranca del Penedès Circuit.

He managed to arrive in 5th position.

Nuvolari, until the 40s, managed to rise as one of the best world pilots, achieving, among other achievements, in 1933, the victory in the 24 hours of Le Mans.

He topped out at the 1935 German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, behind the wheel of an old Alfa Romeo P3.
