The Rural Agents of the Generalitat have collected a snake that appeared by surprise in the bathroom of a flat in Terrassa (Barcelona), as reported by the specialized body through a message on its Twitter account.
It is a Honduran milk snake or false coral (Lampropeltis triangulum hondurensis), a non-venomous egg-laying subspecies of colubrid snake.
This snake, bred in captivity, is one of the largest milk specimens. It can reach a length of up to 120 centimeters, although its size has not been confirmed by the Generalitat in this case.
As reported by the Catalan executive, the agents transferred the animal to a wildlife center of the Department of Climate Action of the Generalitat.
In the event of episodes of this type, the Rural Agents remind the population that, if we find a foreign animal or "a snake inside the house", it is essential to contact 112 to notify the authorities.
