The weather in Spain will continue to be marked by an anticyclone, which will leave slightly cloudy skies, almost no precipitation, temperatures more typical of spring than winter, with many provinces above 20 degrees maximum. And this episode is expected to continue, at least, until the weekend, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
The Aemet explains that, starting on Sunday, it is not ruled out that fronts will begin to enter, which would only affect the northwest third of the peninsula, causing cloudy skies but which would only leave weak rainfall.
The week will begin marked by anticyclonic weather, with high temperatures for the time of year and fog that will affect points in the northern half, with Burgos, Zaragoza and Ribera del Ebro de Navarra and La Rioja at risk (yellow).
The agency foresees the approach of a not very active Atlantic front to the west of the peninsula, which will increase cloudiness in the northwest and leave possible rainfall in the second half of the day in western Galicia, more likely in the area around Fisterra. Nor is some isolated precipitation ruled out in the Strait, the confluence of Valencia and Alicante, under the Ebro and Ampurdán.
In addition, low clouds or morning fogs are expected that could be persistent in the Northern plateau, Ebro, depressions in the northeast and areas of the southeast, in addition to probable haze in the Canary Islands. Specifically, Burgos, Zaragoza and Ribera del Ebro de Navarra and La Rioja will be at risk under a yellow warning due to fog with visibility of two hundred meters.
This Monday the temperatures will drop in the case of the maximums in the eastern half of the peninsula, while the minimums will increase in Asturias, Girona and the Balearic Islands. Frost will only be recorded in the Pyrenees and, separately, in other mountains in the northern half. No major changes are expected in the rest, where they will continue to be high for the time of year.
The highest values will be recorded in Seville (22), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (25), Las Palmas (24), Murcia (20), Girona (20), Granada (20), Córdoba (20), Almería (20) and Huelva (20).
