Jorge Rey warns about the arrival of the storm 'Bernard': "It will sweep away Spain"

The young man from Burgos who is fond of meteorology, Jorge Rey, has launched an imminent alert this Sunday regarding the arrival of the storm 'Bernard' to the Iberian Peninsula. His forecasts coincide with those of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which predicts that this storm, the second with great impact in the region, will affect Spain from southwest to northeast.

In a video published on his YouTube channel, the 17-year-old warned about the imminent arrival of 'Bernard', anticipating a panorama of deluges and snowfall for next week.

Jorge Rey's forecast indicates that, after the recent influence of the storm 'Aline', which left historic rains in some areas, 'Bernard' will bring with it strong winds, intense precipitation and snowfall. According to his estimates, snowfall is expected in the Cantabrian Mountains, the Pyrenees, the Central System and Sierra Nevada, where the first thicknesses of snow will accumulate. As for rain, the least affected areas are expected to be those of the Mediterranean, while in places such as Cádiz, Seville, Huelva, Extremadura, Madrid, Navarra and the Aragonese Pyrenees, rainfall could reach and even exceed 100 liters per square meter.

Galicia deserves special attention, where rainfall accumulations close to 200 liters are expected. Jorge Rey, known for his focus on traditional forecasting methods, such as cabañuelas, warns that, after 'Bernard', another storm is expected to arrive next Tuesday, October 24, urging caution.

As for temperatures, it is anticipated that they will be pleasant in the Mediterranean regions, while it is expected that in the north and center of the peninsula temperatures may drop significantly. The situation has led the State Meteorological Agency to issue alerts for winds, rain and waves in seven autonomous communities. Andalusia is on orange alert due to significant risk due to heavy rains, winds of up to 100 kilometers per hour, storms and intense waves. The communities of the Balearic Islands, Aragón, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura and Madrid are also on yellow alert, preparing for the passage of storm 'Bernard' and future adverse weather conditions.

The train of storms predicted by Jorge Rey, who gained notoriety for anticipating the storm 'Filomena' using traditional prediction methods, is confirmed. In his latest YouTube video, the young meteorologist reviewed the impact of the storms 'Aline' and 'Bernard' and warned of new storms for the week, predicting deluges and snowfall. Rey highlighted the virality of the fall of a palm tree in Seville due to the storm 'Aline' as an example of the effects of these meteorological phenomena.
