Vox has decided to withdraw from the electoral race in the Ciudad Real town of Pozuelo de Calatrava after its candidate for mayor, José Antonio Cáceres, assured through his Twitter account that he was not affiliated with Santiago Abascal's party, which was opposed to his ideology, that he was not even going to vote and even revealed that his vote would go to the PP candidate.

As reported by Europa Press, the president of Vox Ciudad Real, Luis Blázquez, explained this Friday to questions from the media that he does not know the "hidden reasons" that have led his candidate to make these statements, for which he was asked to resign. to the candidacy "We do not know the reasons, they are contradictory behaviors and the party has registered the complete withdrawal of that candidacy. Nothing more to add," he added.

Through his Twitter account, Cáceres assured last Sunday that he is not a member or sympathizer, nor does he know anyone from the Vox provincial office in Ciudad Real, and that he has not signed the loyalty form sent to him by the national address.

"This is how Vox has tripled the lists in the province of Ciudad Real," denounced Cáceres, who in her social media profile has indicated that questions that may arise around this issue, "to the provincial leadership, please" because "they will know when, how and why they have done so".

The former candidate for mayor of this municipality, which has some 3,500 inhabitants and in which eleven councilors are elected, defined himself as a "Ciudadanos sympathizer" since 2014 and declared that he is "completely independent and opposed to the Vox ideology", for which indicated that he is not going to vote for the candidacy he leads. He also denounced that there has been no candidacy presentation or proposal program.

In a later message, Cáceres even showed his willingness to vote for the PP candidate, Julián Triguero, of whom he said he was a friend. "Looking forward to 28M, I am ready to vote for my friend Julián... I'M GOING TO DO IT WITH BARE CHEST!!", confessed the already ex-candidate.
