Vox asks that the Spanish anthem be played tomorrow in the Catalan town halls

Vox has registered a letter in all the Catalan town halls where it has obtained representation in the recent municipal elections so that the Spanish anthem is interpreted in the sessions of constitution of the new corporations and election of mayors.

Vox argues that, in the same way that councilors have to take an oath or promise to comply with the Constitution, city councils "should provide the necessary material means so that the National Anthem can be played as a symbol of respect for the municipality and for Spain, in the same way that it is customary to end these sessions with the Himno dels Segadors".

Among the symbols of the Spanish nation, recalls the text of the petition registered by Vox, "are the flag, the shield and the national anthem, each of which symbolizes the sovereignty of the Nation and represents the validity in Spain of the values contained in the Constitution".

In the local elections on May 28, Vox won a total of 124 councilors and obtained representation in 75 Catalan councils.
