People summoned by the Committees for the Defense of the Republic (CDR) and other pro-independence entities have been marching since this Sunday morning towards the former La Model prison in Barcelona for the sixth anniversary of 1-O.

The other convening entities are Desobediencia Civil Catalunya, the Plataforma Antirepressiva de Ponent and the Plataforma Antirepressiva de Barcelona, as well as the Reprisaled Persons sector of the Catalan National Assembly (ANC).

They march on foot from Badalona, Montcada i Reixac and Sant Feliu de Llobregat and by vehicle from Sitges and Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona). Some participants hold torches and posters with messages in favor of independence and others wave 'estelada' flags.

This morning, groups of protesters blocked several roads leading into Barcelona, as well as some of the main arteries of the Catalan capital.

As reported by the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT) and the Barcelona Urban Guard, since the early hours of this morning the cuts have taken place on the B-20, B-10, C-31 and C-32 roads in their path by the Barcelona towns of Badalona, Sant Adrià de Besòs and Montgat.

Subsequently, the protesters, arriving on foot from different towns near Barcelona, blocked Gran Vía and Meridiana Avenue in the Catalan capital.
