Montero reminds Feijóo that "it was Rajoy who forced the bags to be charged" at 15 cents

The interview in El Hormiguero with the president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, left a fragment that has gone viral on social networks by stating that the price of a kilo of oranges is 0.12 euros, a figure very far from what we found in supermarkets, which is between 0.90 and 1.54 euros. The popular president compared the price of a kilo of oranges with that of a plastic bag, citing it at 0.15 euros.

Despite the fact that the media focus has focused on the price of oranges, the Socialist Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, wanted to highlight the second part of the sentence. "It was the Government of Rajoy who forced the bags to be collected and set the price by law," the minister assured on her social networks.

The Minister of Finance and Public Funicón added in the tweet an image of the royal decree presented on May 18, 2018 by the Government of Mariano Rajoy, which establishes the indicative price of plastic bags -with a thickness between 15 and 49 microns- in 15 cents. In this way, Montero has accused Alberto Núñez Feijóo of "being obsessed" with the Prime Minister and has blamed Rajoy for setting the price of the bags that the popular president cited in the interview.

The PSOE deputy secretary has also urged Feijóo to "read the BOE" and "talk about oranges another day."
