A start to the campaign with an Alava accent

The official start of the electoral campaign made clear the strategic nature of Álava, a territory of 330,000 inhabitants, far from the nearly one million inhabitants of Bizkaia, but in which, as in the rest, 25 seats will be decided.

The PNV held the campaign launch event, with Imanol Pradales supported by the current Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, and calling for a choice “between two models.” EH Bildu also opted for the capital of Alava, the area of Euskadi in which they have grown the most, in this case with Arnaldo Otegi as Pello Otxandiano's squire. “The necessary change is possible; It is here and now,” he declared. The PSE candidate, Eneko Andueza, meanwhile, was accompanied by the deputy general secretary of the PSOE and first vice president of the Government, María Jesús Montero, with the message that “the battle is not between PNV and Bildu.” Tomorrow morning he will be accompanied by Pedro Sánchez in Vitoria. The PP candidate, Javier de Andrés, was finally accompanied last night in Bilbao by popular leaders such as Cuca Gamarra and today he will receive his general secretary, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, at an event in the capital of Álava.
