Emergency meeting on the coronavirus: Will increase border security

EU health ministers called an extraordinary emergency meeting in Brussels on Thursday to discuss the coronavirus.

It will write the belgian media RTBF.

The main purpose of the meeting is to prevent the virus from spreading, it shall inform the council of the EU.

The German minister of health, Jens Spahn, called 4. February for an EU-wide debate about possible restrictions and increased border controls.

He and the French minister Agnès Buzyn stressed the need to coordinate decisions between EU countries.

At the extraordinary meeting on Thursday to sunhedsministrene 'exchange of views on the new nødsundhedstiltag' and discuss 'solutions (...) to prevent the virus from spreading within the EU.
