33-year-old Norwegian photo artist died of anorexia

The Norwegian photo artist Lene Marie Fossen's death. She was only 33 years old and died the night of Tuesday after suffering from anorexia for many years. Lene Marie Fossen also used his illness in his art and is known throughout Norway for his honest self-portraits and many interviews.

It writes to several Norwegian media, including NRK , VG and the Norwegian See and Hear

the Family has across the Norwegian media Oppland Arbeiderblad confirmed the death.

'It is incredibly sad and unreal to us. Lene Marie fought a long and hard battle against a terrible disease. It makes the terrible hurt that she would eventually lose the battle. She had so much to look forward to with a movie, a photo exhibition and a book publication. It was Lenes desire that this work should be continued and published after her passing.'

So tell the family in a statement to the Norwegian See and Hear, and adds:

'Lene has set a deep mark on many with his personal story and his photographs. We hope that her courage and openness can help others and contribute to an open public conversation about anorexia. She will be deeply missed.'

The Norwegian photo artist got his big break-through in 2017, when she released some self-portraits from an abandoned hospital on the Greek island of Chios. The same year, she also called a Ted Talk in Arendal, together with photographer Morten Krogvold, who has been one of her main pillars.

'Lene Marie is one of the biggest talents I've ever met. I have worked in more than 20 countries. But Lene Marie had something special. She had a great visual eye and a penchant for the melancholy, says Morten Krogvold to the Norwegian See and Hear and adds to the Lene Marie Fossens deaths were expected.

'Lene Marie was very weak at the last. She was a very intelligent woman. Kanongod. She could have driven his art very much. It is sad that it had to end like that.

In January there is the premiere of a new documentary about fotokunstneren Lene Marie Rossen. She died, however, before she even got the opportunity to see it. Movie trailer can be seen at the top of the article.
