Mourinho, fined for scolding the referee: two games and 10,000 euros

The Portuguese José Mourinho, coach of Roma, has been sanctioned with a two-game suspension and a fine of 10,000 euros, after the Roma coach was sent off yesterday in the match that his team lost against Cremonese (2-1).

The sports judge has considered that the coach "responded vehemently and with a provocative attitude to an arbitration decision", after a run-in with the fourth official at the beginning of the second half.

"I need to know if there are audio recordings of what he told me. I don't want to get into the thing that he is from Turin and that we play against 'Juve' this day and he wants me off the bench," he told the microphones. from DAZN after the defeat against Cremonese (2-1).

"I have to know if I can do something from a legal point of view, because the referee expels me because the fourth official has told him to do it. Unfortunately, the fourth official has not had the honesty to tell his teammate what he has told me, the way in which he has told me and the way in which he has treated me, which obviously has generated my reaction," he added.

"People who have known me for many years know that I am emotional, but I am not crazy. And to have had a reaction like the one I have had is because something has happened," explained the Setubalense, who left sent off in the 47th minute. "Maybe it's the first time in my career that a fourth official has spoken to me in an unjustifiable way," he said.

"I went to the referees' locker room when the match ended. I was fortunate that Piccinini (main referee) was the fourth in a match in which I was sent off for speaking ill of the referee, and he saw me go down to the locker room and ask him for forgiveness in his day. Today Piccinini has seen me come in and tell the room: 'I want you to be honest and say what has happened'", he sentenced.
