Jail for the man who tried to stab his ex-partner's son, 18, to death in Granada

He stabbed his ex-partner's son, 18, in front of some relatives and then harmed himself before the police arrived. Now, the 48-year-old man has been transferred to jail as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of attempted murder against the young man.

The events occurred in the northern district of Granada on the morning of August 7 at the victim's home, when the woman's ex-partner seriously injured the boy with whom, when he appeared, she had old quarrels.

The alleged murderer also had several wounds with abundant bleeding on his chest, which he himself would have caused after the attack.

It was a call received in the 091 room that alerted the agents. It reported that two people had been stabbed after an assault that had just taken place inside a home. The agents found a man with chest injuries, with profuse bleeding, who was assisted at the scene by an ambulance and taken to the hospital.

In addition, they learned that another person, an 18-year-old boy and son of the injured man's previous partner, had been urgently taken by relatives to the hospital.

The attack would have been perpetrated inside the victim's home, in the presence of other relatives, who observed how the cause of the stabbings was the ex-partner of the mother of the victim and with whom they had a "good relationship." The victim, the 18-year-old, had several stab wounds to the chest, legs, and arms.

Once the attack was committed and still at the scene, the attacker would have stabbed himself several times in the chest, the Police have indicated.

Both injured were initially treated for the serious injuries they presented in the Intensive Care Unit and, after receiving medical treatment, they have already been discharged.

The detainee became available to the judicial authority, which has ordered his admission to prison.
