The new chapter of the surrogacy case starring Ana Obregón has ignited, even more if possible, the debate around this practice, illegal in Spain. The famous presenter has explained to the magazine Hello! that the girl's name is Ana Sandra and that, although she is her legal mother, in reality, she is her biological grandmother since her father is Aless Lequio, Obregón's son who died in May 2020 at cause of cancer.

Therefore, as the presenter explains, her son's semen was used to conceive the girl and there was an egg donor and a pregnant woman. All this with the aim of making Aless Lequio's wish to be a father come true.

These details add important information when assessing the cases in which the controversial surrogate method is used to have a child.
