Remembered for his role as Frasier Crane's faithful sidekick, Moose rose to fame in 1993 when he was cast as Eddie on the hit series. His ability to interact with Kelsey Grammer, who played Frasier, and his ability to hold her gaze for long periods became iconic elements of the series.
Born in December 1990 in Florida, Moose was the youngest and lankiest of his litter. Initially, he lived with a family who struggled to control his mischievous behavior, which included biting everything, barking excessively, and running away frequently. However, his destiny changed when he was transferred to an animal training company for series and movies.
At the age of 2 and a half, Moose was entrusted to Matilda de Cagny, who became his trainer. After six months of intense work and dedication, Moose landed the role of Eddie in Frasier.
At the age of 10, Moose said goodbye to show business, handing over his iconic role on the series to his son, Enzo. This young Jack Russell took on the role of Eddie for the final two seasons of the series, following in the footsteps of his famous father and continuing his legacy on screen.
Moose passed away in 2006 as confirmed by his personal trainer, Mathilde Halberg; who assured that he left a void in the hearts of the fans of the series and the world of entertainment in general. She noted that Moose was known for his "free spirit" and charming nature, qualities that made him much more than just a canine actor. "We will never forget him," she stressed.
