A decorator filed a complaint on Friday for an alleged sexual assault on a set in 2021 against Gérard Depardieu, already accused of sexual violence by more than a dozen women (including a Spanish journalist), as she told the agency on Sunday AFP the complainant's lawyer.
Carine Durrieu-Diebolt, who is already defending the actress Charlotte Arnould, the alleged victim of a rape that led to the accusation against Depardieu in December 2020, confirmed having transmitted this new complaint to the Paris prosecutor's office for acts of sexual assault, sexual harassment and sexist insults.
When asked, the Paris prosecutor's office could not confirm the filing of the complaint and the actor's lawyer declined to comment.
According to Durrieu-Diebold, the events date back to 2021 and have not expired. They would have taken place in Paris during the filming of the film Les volets verts, directed by Jean Becker. The woman who reports these events, named Amélie and 53 years old, was a production designer on the set.
According to his story in the French online information and investigative newspaper Mediapart, which reveals this new alleged attack, the Cyrano de Bergerac actor would have made numerous harsh statements during filming in Paris, on September 10, 2021, and then he would have “ surprised with brutality” and would have “kneaded her waist, her stomach, rising to her breasts.” According to journalistic information, the attack was interrupted by the actor's bodyguards.
Mediapart points out that another woman, Sarah, 33 years old and third assistant director on the same shoot, accuses Depardieu of touching her twice "on the chest and on the buttocks" on August 31, 2021.
In addition to his accusation for alleged events dating back to August 2018, Depardieu is the subject of a preliminary investigation in Paris for sexual assaults in 2014 reported by a set assistant who was 24 years old at the time.
Another complaint for sexual assault, by actress Hélène Darras for events dating back to 2007, was filed at the end of December.
Furthermore, in Spain, journalist and writer Ruth Baza filed a complaint with the Spanish police in mid-December for a rape that allegedly took place in October 1995 in Paris.
