After a year of therapy, Nawall, the rescued half-slit dog now has a new family

Nawall, the dog that was rescued about a year ago with a chain around its neck that was slitting its throat, has finally found a new home with a family in Ciempozuelos.

The El Refugio association has communicated through a note, in which it points out that this family from Ciempozuelos is "very calm", and has transmitted "a lot of calm" to Nawall.

In addition, he has also explained that this case "has spread like wildfire on social networks and was also published by different media", something fundamental in Nawall's "happy ending", since "the family has learned the story of Nawall thanks to a TV show".

As reported by the association itself, "Nawall has needed a year of emotional therapy and, although his evolution has been very good, he is still a little scared." The dog had been welcomed by El Refugio in Madrid, after being rescued in a greenhouse area in Berja (Almería), and had a chain tied around his neck that was slitting his throat.

The president of the El Refugio association, Nacho Paunero, stressed that "it has been very exciting to see Nawall relaxed with what is now his family, with whom he will be able to enjoy a healthy, safe, and happy life. After everything he's suffered, he deserves it." In this sense, he also thanked the role of "the great human chain" that has made it possible for this "beautiful" family portrait to have finally seen the light.

"Nawall, little one, be very happy, life is very beautiful and you will have the opportunity to verify it every day with the people who will give you all the love you need and deserve," added the president of El Refugio.
