“You left me out!”: Carlos Baute and Coti fight for Gonzalo Hermida at the premiere of ‘Dúos Increíbles’

This Tuesday, Dúos Increíbles, TVE's new musical competition, the public channel's new commitment to bringing together the old generations of artists with the new ones and recomposing the soundtrack of an entire country, premiered its second season on La 1.

He did it with a change of presenter. Juan y Medio passed the baton to Xavi Martínez and Julia Varela, one of the tandems linked to Eurovision. Well, the first installment, in addition to beginning with an important novelty in terms of its mechanics, also did so with a clash between two artists. We talk about Coti and Carlos Baute, and all because of Gonzalo Hermida.

For the second season of the TVE musical competition, the program has eight established artists, such as: Carlos Baute, Coti, David de María, David Summers, Diana Navarro, María del Monte, Paloma San Basilio and Rafa Sánchez. Each of them will form a duo with one of the youngest performers - the junior group - made up of 16 contestants and not 8 like the previous season.

Those chosen this time for the junior team are: Ainoa Buitrago, Alfred, Elena Farga, Famous, Flavio, Gonzalo Hermida, José Otero, Julia Medina, Lucía Gil, María Parrado, Maximiliano Calvo, Paula Mattheus, Roi Méndez, Samantha, Tatiana Delalvz and Teo Bok.

Furthermore, as we have already seen during this Tuesday's premiere, the veterans chose two young artists, and not one like last season; and for this new mechanic, Xavi Martínez announced that the duos were provisional and not fixed. Therefore, this represents a greater incentive for the contest.

Among the moments to highlight for this first program is the one starring Carlos Baute and Coti, who did not hesitate to fight over Gonzalo Hermida after singing their version of Amante Amigo, whose incognito name was Coleccionista.

Before the identity of the junior artist was revealed, Baute started strongly against Coti: “I have a song called Coleccionista.” To which Coti responded with: “You're already screwing me up.” And the veterans fight to the death to get the best voices.

Next, Hermida sang the chosen song and, when she finished, a strong fight began between the Venezuelan and the Argentine to get that voice on their team and, therefore, form a duo. “I sense that you are two teachers, but I'm going with Kamikaze,” said the Spaniard without knowing that it was Coti. “You left me out!” Baute reproached the Argentine.
