Wife of 'Harry Potter' actor Warwick Davis dies at 53

Warwick Davis is devastated by the death of his wife, Samantha Davis at the age of 53. The actor, recognized for his appearances in films such as Harry Potter or Star Wars, has spoken publicly several days after the actress also died on March 24.

"His death has left a huge void in our lives as a family. I miss his hugs. He was a unique character, he always saw the good side of life, had a great sense of humor and always laughed at my bad jokes," Warwick said in a statement issued by the BBC.

This sad announcement was intended to be a kind of tribute by the actor, who has not yet been able to assimilate the death of his life partner. And, for him, she was his "most trusted confidant and a fervent supporter of everything" she did during his professional career.

A statement that has also been joined by the couple's children, Harrison and Annabelle, who have expressed that "the love and happiness" of their late mother accompanied them throughout their lives. "Mom is our best friend and we feel honored to have received love like hers," they added.

Although the causes of death have not been revealed, Warwick Davis has made it clear in the writing that in recent years he was already suffering from a deterioration in his mobility. Something that Samantha intended "not to affect her quality of life" with a positive attitude. However, she has not been able to avoid this outcome.

As The Sun exposed some time ago, Samantha Davis suffered a deterioration in her health due to problems that arose as a result of back surgery she underwent. So much so, that in 2018 her life was in danger when she was hospitalized in the United Kingdom due to sepsis.

Warwick and Samantha met during the filming of the film Willow, released in 1988. Since then, the union between the two was forged until consolidated with their marriage in 1991. And the actor's wife was also immersed in the film world. Among his best-known projects is a small role as an elf in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Her acting career began in the film where she met her husband and continued in recordings such as Through the Dragon's Eye (1989) or Leprechaun 2 (1994). However, in the 90s she moved away from the spotlight and did not return until her appearance in 2011 in the well-known magician film.

But if there is something that unified the couple even more, it was the death of their first son, Lloyd, at nine days old. "But it's an experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone... Eventually, over time, you'll be able to better understand why it happened and you'll be able to accept it a little more. But you never get over it," the actor assured People magazine in 2022.
